The vessel is finished in layers of white slip over a dark blue-black base color. The surface has rivulets of green, white, and blue glaze, with drips of deep red glaze on top.
This piece has an intentionally textured, tactile surface that is similar to weathered stone. Drips of glaze, and glossy and matte areas contrast with one another and invite touch. The surface of every piece is carefully finished by hand.
Fired to cone 6 in an oxidation atmosphere. Made from vitrified white stoneware.
This vessel is watertight; it can function as a vase or sculptural statement piece.
Features carved signature on the base. Base has been polished to be smooth.
